About Me
Hi, I am Luree Benjamin and welcome to Connecting The Dots Therapy. Originally I am from Nassau, Bahamas and I now reside in North Carolina. In addition, I am a proud mother of two young adults: my daughter and son.
When I am not working, I love traveling, reading, collecting quotes, attending concerts/plays, watching documentaries, British television/movies, eating good food, but most importantly spending time with those dearest to me.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) that specializes in sex therapy in North Carolina. I believe self-growth and development should never stop. In May 2022, I completed my sex therapy training through the Council for Relationships’ post-graduate certificate program.
My Approach
Asking for help takes courage. It is courageous to be vulnerable and open yourself up to change. I know that change is inevitable but pain and being stuck are optional. Above all, it is my honor and privilege to walk alongside you and help you as you journey within and dare to begin anew.
During these moments, it is especially important that you have someone who will listen, affirm, challenge, and not judge. I am person-centered and sessions are tailored to your unique needs.
This is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. I will patiently work with you, assisting you as you break patterns that keep you from fully showing up in your life and relationships.
In our judgment free-zone, I will be directive yet attentive; firm but compassionate, as we unravel\address\tackle\detangle your fears, concerns, and life’s stressors. I look forward to working with and helping you to connect the dots.

I am an Out-of-Network Provider. If your insurance gives you the option to work with an out-of-network therapist, a superbill can be provided so you can submit for reimbursement. Please confirm with your insurance provider about this option before scheduling.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

There is no one-size-fits-all model. I am pleased to offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to determine if I am the right fit for you. The work we will do together is very special and I want to ensure you are comfortable discussing things that are deeply personal to you.
We will discuss the practices policies and the limits of confidentiality. We will discuss what concerns you in a compassionate and judgment-free environment.
Sex therapy is a form of talk-based psychotherapy. There is NO NUDITY and unlike sexual surrogacy, you and your partner WILL NOT perform sexual acts in session. There is NEVER sexual intimacy between the client(s) and the therapist.
